Worldwide Women's Group: Prayer 1 - Beauty

The weekly Worldwide Women's Group is starting on October 9th, 2024 (on Zoom) to begin the study of the prayers in Prayer's from the Heart written by Loretta Fralin-Rapp. The study will start at 10:00 AM PST (5 PM UTC, 7 PM CAT) and will run for 30-35 minutes. Below is the first prayer, Beauty, and the corresponding discussion questions:

Beauty Prayer:

Father,

Your word promises that you will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning and praise instead of despair. I am desperate to receive these things. I've experienced so many hard things and I carry around the ashes and the heavy burden of those experiences. I want to give you my ashes and trust that you will exchange them for beauty, but honestly, I don't know what beauty would look like. I want it. I want to experience beauty in my life, love in my life and hope for a good and better future. Lord, would you show me beauty as you see it? Help me to see the beauty around me that already exists. Give me eyes to see beauty in your creation, beauty in a meaningful conversation, beauty in the laughter of a child, beauty in the expression of love. I desire to experience beautiful love with you that lifts me out of despair and mourning and sets me on a rock that is high above my circumstances so I can see Jesus, the One who gave it all for me. His sacrifice is truly beautiful because it's restored me to a right relationship with you. I want to know you more and to walk in the beauty that exists in your presence. I surrender my heart to you Lord. Transform me so that I reflect your beauty.
