Writing to each other
Responding to a story is an opportunity for connection.
What has been written has touched us, has informed us, has documented information that we can carry forward collectively in this work that we are doing together.
No woman, no issue is forgotten or unheard, undoing the silencing of women throughout time
Creating our roadmap forward together for the world we are creating together here within World Pulse and throughout the world in our own communities.
Through our ability to Encourage we are able to affirm the importance of the information
The importance of the work
The commitment of the story teller
The protection of this global library
The stories of women past and present,
Inspiring the possibilities of the future
The documentation of what has been done
The changes being called for
The inroads made
The transformations that have taken place
Where, how and by who.
Through Encouraging we find ways to work together, form alliances, inspiring possibility in and with and for each other.
We are inspired ourselves by the joy of Encouraging, by reading these responses, how these responses lead to deep connections, how our collective actions build, how we recognize who is missing, how we wrap our arms around new members, how we get to know each other, how we are building our way forward together.
Through the power of Encouraging we celebrate, we collaborate, we conspire, we carry each others’ stories, we carry each other forward, we build this movement knowing all that we need to make happen and are making happen, now that we are able to be so closely in touch with each other.
The Encouraging system has become our global library, knowing where each other are, what each other is doing, what each other is needing, what the world is needing and what is being offered, by who, and where, in what way, sharing what needs to be done, learning who does not yet have access, figuring out together how to bridge these gaps.
Our stories create pathways to interweave our work, an open invitation without limitations for what continues to be added to this library of what has been changed and what still needs to change, the stories of our successes, our inspirations, our global news, our global library, our meeting place, our home together.
What the Encouragement Program gives us is the information we need, the collective building of this library and this movement, this search for and implementation of solutions, the roadmap to deeper inclusion, the weaving of collaborations, the documentation of what and who we are still missing, the inspiration we get as we read, as Encouragers as to what now is possible.
We continue to search for the means to expand members’ abilities to do this Encouraging. We are keenly aware of the need to create avenues of involvement for those with no access to computers, support for members facing erratic or no power supply, members who face expensive data plans charged by minutes of use, members in the midst of wars, members who brave punishment for even writing freely about their communities, for introducing even the concept of freedom for women.
Through the Encouragement Program we reenforce that we are not dreaming, not facing this alone. That what we can do is to be in touch, send encouragement, find ways to collaborate. Story telling is the room we meet in. Encouraging deepens the connection. We carry the stories, keep them known, continue to build this beautiful collective documentation of the changes we are working for together, interweaving and building our work in a way that has never been possible before. Our task now is to find ways to address the unequal access to computer use, to provide avenues for contributions by those facing unsafe situations and as always to reach out to and encourage members on the power of Encouraging.
We memorize the stores and keep them known.
We find each other.
We lift each other as activists.
We become the community of Encouragers with and for each other within and for this beautiful community - World Pulse
