When Women Rise Together: Reflections from the PIE Steering Committee Meeting

What an exhilarating moment!

I have the honor of being the storyteller for our latest Powershift Inclusive Excellence (PIE) Steering Committee meeting, sharing key reflections and insights with our World Pulse community in this update.

As we connected across continents through Zoom, our conversations reflected not only the realities our communities are facing, but also the resilience and leadership women continue to demonstrate in difficult times. PIE members shared real current stories: health recoveries, election upheavals, soaring fuel prices, and geopolitical tensions. BUT, beautifully, every narrative radiated these power ladies unwavering courage, resilience, and hope.

The standout moment? Basudha’s passionate address from Women for Change at the G20, shining a light on inclusive leadership and groundbreaking changemakers who are opening doors for people with disabilities. It’s clear: true progress leaves ‘no one’ behind.

Together, we reflected deeply on the current state of global leadership and the growing need for women’s voices to shape conversations around peace and justice. As PIE members, we agreed to propose a global call through World Pulse for women everywhere to share stories from their communities such as stories of peacebuilding, resilience, survival, and transformation. We believe that when women speak collectively, the world listens differently.

Our meeting also focused on strengthening the future of PIE through intentional recruitment strategies that prioritize diversity, inclusion, and representation from underrepresented countries. We discussed how to create clearer structures, define roles effectively, and ensure that every member contributes meaningfully while honoring personal capacity and wellbeing.

But the real magic?

Sisterhood. Across countries, cultures, and challenges, we built a movement rooted in collaboration, transparency, empathy, and action. More important, World Pulse is striving to create spaces where voices resonate, communities flourish, and solutions spark!

I am so excited to journey alongside these incredible women through PIE and World Pulse community. Together, we are shaping a world of intentional inclusion, prioritized peace, and stories that transform reality!
