SOLA ECLIPS OF APRIL 8TH 2024

Historical total solar eclipse is expected this APRIL on the 8th . to begin with what is solar eclipse? this is an eclipse in which the sun is obstructed by the sun. which means the moon as it orbits the earth come between the sun and the earth .thereby blocking the sun and preventing any sunlight from reaching the earth. this also provides an opportunity to study earths atmosphere under uncommon condition in contrast to the global change in light that occurs everyday at dusk to dawn . solar eclipse changes illumination of the earth and its atmosphere under a comparatively small region on the moon shadows. and a lot can happen to humans during this historical event without proper eye protection can cause retinal burn . with an average 2.38% solar occurrences the earth experience two solar eclipses and only 0.5 %have at least five .exposing our eyes to it can cause damage to important part of our eye and it is also believed that solar eclipse can interrupt our circadian rhythm or cause noticeable effects in most human even though there are rare according to experts. it's NOT safe to look directly at the sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing things NOT to do during this historical moment don't take photos ,no videos or never wear eclipse glasses while driving. remember to turn on your headlights on if you have to drive during this event . i fear for generation - Z - they are going to do unthinkable some are going to died risking their lives with this error of content creating and going viral .back in the days in my community growing up i used to hear about eclipses and nobody really talked to me about it even though it was being taught in school i never took it that serious and one day when it showed up had no protective glasses i looked directly to that darkness and thats how i ended up wearing prescript eye glasess ! the experience happened the next day when my head wont stop hurting between my eyes . for once i thought it would go a way but that didn't stop ! thats how i decided to go for an eye check up . it turn out i was loosing my eyes the eye doctor asked me whappend i told him that i looked directly to the eclipse and the next day my headache was killing me the doctor looked at me with those shocked eyes and called his manager that something have to be done .i could hear the dr saying how many people lost their eye sight fro the eclipse .so every time i hear an eclipse is coming it remind me of how dangerous the historical event is to human eye with no protection.i like how the first world is issuing free solar eclipse glasses to those who would like to experience alife time historical event , they talk about it cautioning people to be careful. i 'm still positive that i wouldn't be wearing glasses if my community leaders back then caution people from staring at the eclipse with their naked eyes , i bet so many people lost their eye sight for lack of a wareness .now that i'm a responsible adult and with the help of technology i'm trying to educate people in schools and small groups in the community not to look directly on the sun during solar eclipse.explain to them the dangers of it from my own experience ,some don't believe me because they have their own spiritual belief about the whole situation . so the younger curious generation are my targeted audience for the sake of the future . educating them on what the the meaning of this solar eclipse , its importance ,its dangers to human eyen. reminding them unless they have a special eye glasess for eclipse viewing they should not attempt to burn their iris like i did because nobody was there to remind my generation. my dreams is to see the locals both young and old enjoy this historical events without burning their eyes. every time they attempt to do the opposite they remember my written flayers in local language to take care of their eyes because the government has no medical resources set a side for such causalities its one for himself. my challenges might be resistance from people believing i'm looking for political entitlement and name making . other bog challenges is sost people take things for granted we don't really care about ourselves nor our neighbours and this can lead to victimization and stereotyping others which bring fear and hate. my wild dream is to see my community sharing their notes with younger generation through learning from each other and sharing the importance of having healthy eyesight because glasses are very costly choosing between putting food on the table while living under a dollar a day and going for eye test for eye glasses examination !! most people will choose food more than the eye medication . ' prevention is better than cure' being my sisters keeper and spreading the word to everyone who want to enjoy the coming eclipse with total caution and care is more important to me than any other thing to this advanced generation that will do anything to create a content for likes and fame forgetting how important it is to take care of their body heart and soul more than anything. my dream is to see this trend shared with the next generation that will be experiencing the eclipse just like use and the younger generation that has no excuse because a wareness is easily accessible to anyone with internet and smart phone that we all have.itmight take time to find the information but with time it will reach to you either from community gatherings , school activities , events organized by different community projects through mobile public awareness there is no excuse this days!!!
