Shift of power Re-imagined

I define power as the ability to stir change in a community, nation, and the world at large regardless of social status, professionalism, literacy level, political differences, and any other stereotype revolving around power. To be powerful you don’t need to have lots of money or the highest educational evidence (certificates) but rather the heart and desire to enhance changes and ensure that the roots go deep despite the differences in race, tribe, and religion.

Humanity has to be your stronghold because it is the mastermind in ensuring that the changes the people need are visualized from the brilliant ideas laid down. It takes courage, selflessness, and confidence to go for a change where not everyone conquers with you, sees your potential, or wants you in that position. Being powerful means you have to be blind and deaf on the ills meted on you and prove them wrong by acting your position right.

Leaders should not vouch for people based on the relationship they share but rather on how well they can deliver, and let their work do the talking for them. A good leader raises good followers who eventually grow to be better leaders. If nobody looks up to you as a leader it means you have failed in delivering, you were not good enough to be in power.

Wealth and a good educational background do not automatically mean you are a powerful person because the two have been mistaken for power but how well you interpret scenarios that need to be acted on does. The ideas and how far you can work to bring them to reality to be beneficial to people, in the long run, make one an actively powerful person.

Many times power is shifted to the wrong people and that causes harm no matter how well previous leaders ran the positions while in power all that goes down the drain when the power gets shifted to the wrong persons. Drawbacks of having incompetent persons in power, the efforts of the former leaders end with them because an incompetent leader cannot carry on a legacy.

Power should always be earned and not given so that its worth can be recognized. Earned positions in power automatically mean complete visualization of visions because deserving persons know how important changes are, how thirsty people are for them, and how far they can go in ensuring growth and development take place. People who earn their power will always act in their position and hardly fold or fidget when challenges hit them.

An undeserving leader leads the community or a country into chaos and eventually to extreme poverty we are advocating to be alleviated for a better and standard life for the people. A powerful person shouldn’t dwell on what the previous leaders failed to deliver but rather on how to fill the gaps to secure the present and the future of the people, be the difference, and the results the people desire and look forward to.

To the donors and funders let it be known that funding the work of a quack in power is funding chaos and unending problems, more of funding a quick downfall .Go for realistic ideas and visions of a competent because that person will bring pride to your funds but how well they manage them in ensuring that the visions are visualized and ideas brought to reality. Go for people whose desire for enhancing change is not dependent on how much funds they can, powerful persons believe in starting small and making progress because as time goes by new ideas are born, you can’t change everything in a day it is a work in progress.

Powerful persons create opportunities for others and do not diminish those in place. He/she knows the miles combined efforts can go and doesn’t demean even the slightest ideas. They know that lifting others is fueling change. If you are in power and you can’t listen, observe, and digest before initiating action, it means you’re a coward’ undeserving and unworthy. A surrounding speaks volumes and only true and deserving leaders can interpret and act accordingly because they can see and feel what anyone else can’t.

A powerful person understands that they are an instrument in delivering and so much has been entrusted to them. They know they are not special but rather great because they understand they are elected to power based on how available and straightforward they are to meet the responsibilities entrusted to them. Be selfless, be powerful, act, and don’t fold because the people, community, and world need you. Our tomorrow depends on how well the shift of power is handled, if you are in power make sure you deliver fully because nature needs that to heal. The extremes can be worked on by powerful persons who are true to the people and their positions.
