My Vision for a Better Bangladesh: Creating Opportunities for Women and Children

Another step forward in my journey of learning and serving.

I believe that a better country is built when every person gets the opportunity to live with dignity, safety, education, and hope. For me, creating change does not always mean doing something very big. Sometimes, change begins with a small action, a kind word, sharing knowledge, supporting someone, or simply giving people a chance to be heard.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work as a volunteer with different organizations and communities in Bangladesh. Through these experiences, I have learned about many challenges faced by women and children in our society. These experiences have also strengthened my belief that I can contribute to building a better Bangladesh.

My vision is to see a Bangladesh where every child can grow up in a safe and supportive environment, and every woman can live with confidence, dignity, and equal opportunities.

Children are the future of our country. However, many children still face different barriers in their everyday lives. Some do not have enough access to education, some face poverty and social pressure, and many children are not aware of their basic rights and personal safety. Child protection is therefore very important to me.

I want to contribute to creating awareness among children and families about child safety, children's rights, personal boundaries, and the importance of a safe childhood. I believe children should be taught in a simple and friendly way so that they can understand that they have the right to say “no,” ask for help, and speak about anything that makes them uncomfortable or unsafe.

Women also face many challenges in Bangladesh. Many women have talent, dreams, and potential, but different social, economic, family, and cultural barriers can prevent them from moving forward. Some women lack access to skills and employment opportunities. Others struggle with confidence, mental well-being, social expectations, or a lack of supportive networks.

This is one of the reasons I became interested in working with women and communities. I want to help create spaces where women can learn, connect, share their experiences, and believe in themselves.

As a volunteer, I have been involved with different organizations and community initiatives. Every experience has taught me something new. I have learned that volunteering is not only about giving time. It is also about listening to people, understanding their needs, working with others, and taking responsibility for creating positive change.

I have worked on and supported different awareness and community-based activities related to women, children, health, hygiene, mental well-being, and social development. These experiences have helped me understand that many social problems are connected. For example, when a woman does not have access to education or financial opportunities, it can affect her confidence, decision-making, and even the future of her children.

That is why I believe we need projects that address problems from different sides. We need education, awareness, skills development, mental well-being support, leadership opportunities, and strong community connections.

My vision is to contribute to projects that help remove the barriers faced by women and children. I want to support initiatives where women can develop practical skills, become more confident, learn about their rights, and discover opportunities for personal and professional growth.

I also believe that young people and volunteers can play an important role in creating change. We do not have to wait until we become powerful or wealthy to make a difference. We can start from where we are, with what we have.

Social media and digital platforms can also help us reach more people. A simple awareness post, a personal story, an educational video, or an online campaign can reach someone who needs support or inspiration. I have personally experienced how sharing stories and connecting with people through online communities can create new opportunities for learning and collaboration.

My involvement with World Pulse has strengthened this belief even more. Being part of a global community of women has helped me understand that although women live in different countries and face different circumstances, many of our challenges are connected. We can learn from one another, support one another, and create change together.

I want to continue building my knowledge and working with organizations, volunteers, and communities in Bangladesh. My goal is not only to participate in projects but also to develop meaningful initiatives that can create long-term impact.

I dream of a Bangladesh where a girl does not have to give up her dreams because of her gender. A Bangladesh where a child can speak openly about safety and receive support when needed. A Bangladesh where women can make decisions about their own lives and have access to education, skills, employment, leadership, and mental well-being support.

I know that changing society is not easy. There are many challenges, and sometimes progress is slow. But I believe change becomes possible when ordinary people decide to take responsibility.

My journey as a volunteer is still continuing. I am still learning, growing, and looking for new ways to contribute. I may not be able to solve every problem, but I can use my time, skills, voice, and experience to help someone move one step forward.

That is my vision for a better Bangladesh: **a country where women and children are not limited by barriers, but empowered by opportunities.**

I want to be part of that change—not only by dreaming about a better future, but by taking small, meaningful steps toward creating it every day.
