XXII . 22 . My Life My Education A Further Progress - A Mile Stone - A Satisfactory Two Years from July 1949 to May 1951 . Without being repetitive I recapitulate that I cleared my Madras Board SSLC Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination ( - 6 th Form , 11th Class ) Creditably , a repeat exam in May 1949 scoring above 50% marks in all subjects and now ready to join A College in my Home Town Guntur , a College Town , A Town renowned for Education , A University Town - during my college days Guntur was An Andhra University Town , now Nagarjuna University Town , but still A University Town with Arts College , Science College , Medical College - A College for Hindus The Hindu College , A College for Christians Andhra Christian College , A College for Muslims , A College Exclusively For Women Government College For Women , and A Vysya College TJPS College , A College For Each Community JKC , Reddy Colleges . My Father Chose THE HINDU COLLEGE , A College Known For It's Cosmopolitan Atmosphere , Good Teaching Staff and Known For It's Strength in Biological Sciences and That was The Clincher . So it came to pass in July 1949 on the opening Day I was admitted into Two year I Sc Intermediate of Sciences Course - English Medium of Teaching - with Biology ( Botany + Zoology ) , Physics , Chemistry , English , and Sanskrit ( Thanks No Mathematics my Achilles Heel ) , under the Category Science Stream - I Sc Bi.P.C. with Languages English and Sanskrit . I had very successful , satisfactory Academic sojourn as An ISc- Bi P C student at The Hindu College Guntur from July 1949 to May 1951 under the able stewardship of my teachers - Sri V Subba Rao gaaru & Y Viswanaatham gaaru - English ; Sri O Neelakantth sastry gaaru - Sanskrit ; G Ramakrishna Rao gaaru - Botany ; Sri B Narayana Rao gaaru - Zoology ; K Hanumantha Rao gaaru - Physics , and D Narasimha Rao gaaru - Chemistry . I am happy to say , proud but not arrogant , that I passed that ISc - Bi P C two year Course of Andhra University with A First Class , College First , and Triple Distinction in Biology , Physics , and Chemistry , and A very Satisfactory above 50 % marks in both English and Sanskrit Language Subjects . I was very happy and good at all Science Subjects both in Theory as well in Practicals , Record- Keeping and took active part in Debates , Prize Examinations , and so my friends , well wishers , peers and elders There I Was in May 1951 out of College and Ready to Seek A Professional Career - since my childhood I always wanted to become a doctor , I dreamed of going to England , USA and with my head in the clouds but my feet firmly planted down On Mother Earth - I await - so must you if you have the time and patience . - balakrishna murthy ramaraju .
