My first menstrual experience

My first menstrual experience was an interesting one. Growing up as a child, I never had the opportunity of knowing what menstruation was about. No one actually seemed to talk about it. It almost seemed like a taboo. The very first time i heard something of such nature, was when my dad little sister had experienced it. It was quite confusing that i even thought it was a geographical thing so i wanted to relocate from where i stayed. It was a scaring moment in my life because my mom had never told me or educated me on the subject matter.

One early morning, i felt pains in my abdomen and thought just maybe i needed to visit the private. Only to realize later that my underwear was all soaked in blood. I got  very scared not knowing what to do. Even though i later heard about it, I had no idea of how it felt or looked like in reality; that resulted to my fear.
