When we empower women, they lead actions that matter.
As we prepare to welcome 2026 in just a few hours, I would like to begin by recognizing and celebrating the remarkable achievements of great leaders i admire such as Jensine Larsen, Zoneziwoh Mbondgulo-Wondieh, Ph.D founder for Women for a ChangeCameroon, alongside inspiring organizations including UN Women, FEMNET - African Women's Development and Communication Network, Global Fund for Women, and #ClimateReality, all of whom continue to lead, support, and drive the change we desire to see in the world. You have been my icons and my pathway of admiration.
On my women empowerment journey in 2025, I have seen, experienced, and witnessed the harsh realities faced by many women, inhuman punishment, physical abuse, and systemic violence. The lack of respect for the rule of law continues to leave countless women and children in vulnerable situations.
Yet, everyday, we choose to believe in ourselves, our dreams, and our collective power to create change and support women and girls to strive and I am not stopping here.
Although 2025 was filled with many milestones, a few stand out:
-Launching the Pan-African Network for Gender Justice, which led diverse advocacy activities and a global conference on the rights of women and girls—bringing together women and HeForShe leaders from 30+ countries to present real-world cases and lived realities.
-Leading the Sheroes Award for African Women and Girls, recognizing grassroots impact and promoting women’s rights across communities.
-Championing the HAND IN HAND Cameroon Youth and Intergenerational Consultation, uniting women leaders, youth leaders, and men from NGOs, rural women’s groups, and HeForShe movements to discuss access to justice for women and girls.
-Securing a fully funded scholarship at KDI School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea, one of the world’s top 10 think-tank institutions, globally recognized for excellence in policy-making and implementation.
mentoring on international platforms like Women Ascension.
several leadership positions with top platforms.
just to name a few. these has been inspired by an ambition to serve communities,
As we step into 2026, I look forward to deeper engagement, stronger partnerships, and new platforms, including UN Women, to share the library of stories we have gathered over the years and the interventions we have led . My greatest wish for 2026 is to stand on the UN Women platform, advocating for meaningful change, women’s empowerment, and the elimination of violence against women / girls and contribute in formulating policies that promotes the rights of women and girls.
