GETTING MY GROOVE BACK

story
World Aids day is fast approaching and the fuss about HIV is all over as the general public is being convinced to individually go for a test before this day is celebrated in the country....The government of Kenya have come with a strategy to take the VCT center to the people which means that they will be testing people in there happy moments which will apparently be done within the confines of club joints and recreation centers,o.k i don't know how well this is going to work since i know very well that one of the rule of testing and counseling is that a councilor is not supposed to test a person who is supposedly not in there correct state in mind for example someone under the influence of alcohol e.t.c that aside i have started wearing my red ribbon again ... not to remind myself that i am HIV positive but this time with all the pride in place.
I got my sexuality back after a long time without having any.My argument as usual is that HIV does not confide one of not having the fun and pleasures of life only that one is more responsible about there life.In Kenya Stigma and discrimination is still on the high but hopefully with time it will subside o.k if the government raises more awareness and especially in the rural areas. One is normally perceived funny once you come out open about your status, you know the kind that you are not meant to be having any more sexual encounters since its like you had been having too much of it and thus the reason why you should no longer have any more sex any more. For me that is a NO!NO!HIV+ people can have as much sex as they so want provided they protect themselves and there partners, and for me it also have to be good at that or i ain't having it altogether.
So this World Aids Day theme is Universal Access and Human Rights as people celebrate this i will celebrating having my grove back!
