Gender-Based Violence Masterclass 101

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a prevalent discussion point in many countries. However, many make the unconscious mistake of using GBV interchangeably with violence against women.

This oversight can contribute to various problems, including victims feeling excluded, and it can skew how policies are developed, how violence is addressed, and affect interventions and responses. It can also enable stigmas against particular groups.

GBV is an umbrella term under which many forms of violence lie. I have decided to do the GBV Masterclass, which will have 12 parts, after facilitating numerous presentations and training sessions and observing the challenges many face, as well as the gaps that remain.

Rather than speaking about the problem or what is not working, I am providing a simple yet effective solution to raise awareness. I invite you to listen, comment, like, and share with your networks.
