We celebrated the International day of Women and girls in science with the junior secondary girls from Kolwal primary. We learnt that it's girls who are extremely affected with Gender Based Violence as they try to pursue their carrier.
1. Girls face Home based violation during the menstrual periods as some fail to access sanitary pads, learning materials and even enough time for their studies.
2. Girls and women face several abuses in employment spaces from their colleagues, seniors and bosses.
3. Girls and women face criticism in politics by fellow politicians and the bosses hence ending up in positions given in favour but not in power.
4. Girls and women face a lot of cultural limitations that hinders them into spaces of employment, social life and even economically.
As Forgotten Voices Foundation we want to build a future for these girls and women where we have female professionals not hindered by any barrier throug
1. Ending period poverty Initiative, by giving sanitary pads to girls and women in schools, homes, villages and prisons. Thus we came up with reusable pads for sustainability.
2. Widows basket initiative to support widows.
3. Createhive for arts and sports and talent development for girls and women.
4. Inua dada initiative/ super women initiative.
This is economic empowerment for women through sub grants and loans.
Thus we call for your collaboration and partnership in this. Each community has girls, each community has women.
