Dress Code

Okay so I know this might be considered a small problem, but at my school (I'm a junior in high school) They have a really strict dress code. And it's basically just there for females. For example, some of the rules include; No bra straps showing, no crop tops, no straps less than 3 fingers width, and no shorts shorter than the middle finger on your hand.
Well, if boys show up to school with a buttoned-up shirt that's still showing chest, they're fine. But if a girl shows up with a crop top or a low cut/V-neck shirt, or even a turtle neck sweater! they get dress coded!! (a girl actually got dress coded for a turtle neck sweater)
But what if you have long arms or hands/fingers? And companies don't even make shorts that long! And as long as it doesn't show everything in that general area; then it's a good length and it's fine!
Plus, I see many (boys) students showing up to school with shirts with Racist or Sexist messages and they don't get punished or anything.
I mean, the dress code is there for a reason but every day a lot of people are getting dress coded. And I just feel that the dress code is targeting girls more than guys. And I am considering talking to the dean, but I don't want to cause any trouble or anything.
