Art and Beauty is everywhere if we look for it

I got the greatest email today from a yarn site that is doing a knit and/or crochet along and it made me smile and see beauty in the world. We must take these moments of beauty and hold them dear and close.

I am not sure if I mentioned I am also a nerd and am being a dungeon master for a group this weekend so may not be on much. But look forward to reading them all when I get back.

It was Victorian inspired "language of flowers". How exciting is that? Once I get a good paying job I will buy myself the yarn and begin the project. but the idea was you can put your own secret meanings into the blanket and love that idea!

I was trying to think what i would say, guess it depends on the words and meaning the flowers have to crochet my tale. I can crochet most stitches but knitting seems so hard. I will try again as one daughter told me when I was telling her I just cant knit "You can do anything mom!" so I will try again one day and get good enough I can make this shawl I fell in love with.

But it is why this site is so empowering, giving us the sense of belonging and being understood or encouraged that we sometimes lack in real life. I hope all the woman who need it find this site because the one thing it does really well is make you feel connected to other woman, some struggling, some powerful (or do I mean got it together??) and that can change a woman's life. And that is a good thing that we can not lose! So a quick thank you to all the beautiful woman who come here and encourage us or just say hey! to us.
