Collaboration

GreatGold Impact Foundation visited O.O.L.G Magboro Akerawa Community Secondary School in Ogun State on March 11, 2026, as part of our Empowering 1000 Girls initiative. We had the privilege of speaking directly to 700 secondary school girls from SS1 to SS3 in a one-hour session focused on Sugar Daddy Awareness and girl empowerment.
The session covered four key areas:
1. The Dangers of Sugar Daddy Relationships: Students were educated on the risks of transactional relationships, exploitation, unplanned pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, emotional damage, and loss of self-worth.
2. Life Skills and Decision Making: We introduced the STOP-THINK-CHOOSE method, helping students develop practical tools to make safe and responsible decisions when approached or pressured.
3. Building Confidence and Body Safety: We spoke directly to the girls about their worth, their body rights, and the importance of speaking up when they feel unsafe or are being exploited.
4. Interactive Role Play Activity: A live role play scenario was performedby two students to help students practise right decision-making in a relatable and engaging way. The girls responded with energy and enthusiasm.
WHAT WE GAVE THE GIRLS : Every girl in the session received a customised Affirmation and Decision Card carrying a personal pledge:
"My future is more valuable than any gift"
"I say NO to pre-marital sex and exploitation."
"I will tell a trusted adult if anyone touches me inappropriately."
"My body belongs to me alone."

Girls who actively answered questions and participated were rewarded with notebooks and pens as an encouragement for their courage and engagement.
As a gesture of appreciation to the school, we also provided refreshments for all the teachers present.
OUTCOMES : The session was met with remarkable enthusiasm and openness from the students. The girls asked thoughtful questions, engaged actively in the role play, and showed genuine interest in the topics discussed.
At the end of the programme, many students approached our team personally to express their gratitude. A number of them said, "Ma, thank you for today. I learnt a lot." words that reminded us exactly why this work matters.
The Teacher in Charge, Mrs. Kaka, expressed that she was deeply impressed with the programme. She prayed for GreatGold Impact Foundation and encouraged us to continue. She also committed to personally distributing our affirmation cards to the wider student population beyond those who were present in the session extending our reach even further.
We were permitted to take two official photographs with the head girls of SS1 to SS3, the principal, and some of the teaching staff, alongside our team of three.
OUR REFLECTION : This was GreatGold Impact Foundation's very first official school outreach. Walking into that school with a team of three, standing before 700 young girls, and watching them engage, laugh, think, and ask questions, it confirmed that this work is needed, it is welcomed, and it is making a difference.
We may not be able to change everything. But if even one girl in that room walks away and makes a safer decision because of what she heard today, GreatGold has done its job.
We are just getting started.
NEXT STEPS :
- Continue school visits all through 2026.
- Follow up with O.O.L.G Magboro to build a long-term relationship
- Document and report on all subsequent school visits
- Seek partnerships and funding to scale the programme across more schools in Nigeria.
