Why do they leave us?
Why do they leave?
Without promises or permission?
Why do they cast the desolation, loss, and nothingness
In fragile hearts that cannot bear the impact?
Does loss mean losing your soul? Losing your passion? Or losing a soul that departed without conflict? That planted warmth, even affection, without division? That embraced the shadow, the ebb and flow, and endured all words?
Can we live without her eyes? Or without her breath?
Can we write elegant words? Or overflowing love? Or do we bandage our wounds and never awaken?
Can one live without a companion?
Can a rose withhold its nectar?
Can the youth erase the sighs of the fire?
Forgive me, for my words are lame, and my paths are blocked and suffocating.
Why do they open doors to the light for us and then leave?
We are like children at the beginning of the road, our hearts yearning, our longings scattered. And the abundance is limited, unable to bear excessive longing or intense staring. We have no key but patience, and we cannot bear the separation after love; it is futile. All greetings and respect to you. Here, my words surround the radiant smile and elegant poetry. Return to the yellow grains of wheat and scatter that sparkle upon me with the intervals of breaths, so that I may be filled with a flowing warmth.
