This, Too Shall Pass

There are those who are gasping for breath, hanging on to dear life, most of them due to the virus or other illnesses and many are in pain caused by people close to them who are supposed to protect them but have become their source of despair and agony.

You will know that you are living and working with toxic persons when their mere presence demoralize you and others. Toxic people are fault - finders who revel in criticizing people as if they are the only ones knowledgeable and right all the time. They have a hard time listening to  other opinions and if left unchecked, have the tendency to control processes, decisions and even one’s behavior . They stifle initiative and creativity and could easily talk down on people that borders on power tripping. They are the narcissist at home, the bully in the office, the tyrants of the country.

Stop playing victim. You are a brave warrior who chose to fight a different war, a war that doesn’t use force or violence upon another but by clear- headed position of doing what is right without trampling on the reputation and rights of others. Assert your strength by staying calm, peace-loving and compassionate. Work with encouraging and inspiring people. You are capable of being a leader. In fact, it takes courage to stay calm, collected and focused on delivering one’s mission despite the incessant noise from  people who prop themselves up by putting down other people.

Keep in mind that whatever crisis you are in now, be assured that “this, too shall pass”. The past events in your life, your experiences – good or bad- prepared you for the role in this given situation. While no one can be fully  prepared when it comes to personal and family crisis, a strong faith in the Most Powerful One, the Creator of Heaven and Earth and  all that are seen and unseen will lighten the burden that you carry.

I am your sister. If you wish to talk, I’m here to listen.
