The Fat and Horny Podcast

From a fat girl to a fat girl: go get your pleasure.

The Fat and Horny Podcast is a lifeline for African women who grew up being told their bodies were too much, their desires shameful, and their pleasure irrelevant. This podcast exists because too many of us have never heard a single affirming word about our bodies and sexuality in our mother tongues or cultural contexts.

What We Do

Each episode dismantles the toxic mix of purity culture, distorted body image, and pleasure-starvation that leaves fat women feeling invisible and undeserving. We talk openly about desire, sex, health, addiction, and body image. Topics often whispered but never confronted in African homes. The host, a fat African woman herself, speaks from lived experience, creating a space that is raw, funny, tender, and unapologetic.

Backed by Sponsors

We've been funded by organizations who believe in this mission:

  1. Season 1 was sponsored by Adventures from the Bedrooms of African Women, a testament to our aligned vision of African women owning their sexuality.
  2. Season 2 was sponsored by Content is Queen, recognizing the power of our platform to shift narratives and build community.

These partnerships validate that The Fat and Horny Podcast is not a vanity project but a trusted, effective initiative delivering real impact.

The Impact

  1. Validation: Listeners write to say, "I thought I was broken. Now I know I'm normal."
  2. Action: Women report setting sexual boundaries for the first time, buying sex toys, or simply looking in the mirror with less hatred.
  3. Community: Our growing audience of over 2,000 listens isn't just numbers but a sisterhood of African girls and women who finally see themselves reflected.
  4. Ripple effect: Partners, friends, and even therapists use the podcast to better understand African women's experiences.

Why It Matters Now

In a world where African fat women face medical bias, family shaming, and a complete lack of pleasure-positive education, The Fat and Horny is filling a void no one else is addressing. It's changing the narrative from "lose weight first, then you can live" to "you deserve joy and pleasure exactly as you are right now."

Coming Soon: Season 3 – In Our Bodies

Season 3 expands our mission with three critical pillars:

  1. Addiction – Exploring how compulsive behaviors, and coping mechanisms intersect with fat bodies, shame, and pleasure.
  2. Women's Sexual Health – From painful sex to hormonal changes, chronic illness to desire fluctuations. Nothing is off the table.
  3. Educating Young Girls – Age-appropriate conversations to catch them early, before purity culture and body shame take root. We're building resources for mothers, aunties, and mentors to have these talks with the next generation.
