Sisters in Progress Mentorship Circle

One month later, Sisters in Progress no longer feels like an idea we are testing. It feels like something alive, something steady, something working.

From the three of us who first sat together with notebooks and intention, the circle grew. Two more young women joined, bringing our number to five committed members. Not a crowd. Not a headline. But a solid foundation.

Each woman joined for a different reason, but stayed for the same one: growth.

Key Milestones

5 active members committed to weekly conversations and accountability

4+ weekly check-ins held consistently over the month.

1 first skills workshop hosted virtually on CV writing and personal branding

1 first collective win, when a member successfully applied for and secured an opportunity she had postponed for months

Countless shared resources, including scholarships, free courses, internships, and mentorship programs

Our first workshop was simple. No banners. No sponsors. Just honesty, shared knowledge, and women willing to learn from one another. It reminded us that impact does not start big. It starts intentional.

Individual Growth and Achievements

Faith

Over the year, I grew into my voice as a founder and facilitator. I learned how to lead without dominating, to listen without losing direction, and to stay consistent even on quiet weeks. I became more disciplined with my time, clearer about my goals, and more confident in protecting my future.

“I learned that leadership is not about having all the answers, but about creating a space where others feel safe to grow.”

Purity Wambui

Purity strengthened her consistency and follow-through. She became more structured in her career goals, improved her professional communication, and took bold steps toward opportunities she once hesitated to pursue.

“This circle taught me that discipline is easier when someone is walking with you.”

Ann Otieno

Ann refined her leadership skills and learned how to channel her confidence into mentorship. She supported other members through accountability and encouraged them to speak up, apply, and show up fully.

“Sometimes confidence grows when you use it to lift others, not just yourself.”

New Member One

She joined quietly, unsure if she belonged. Over time, she began sharing her ideas, setting weekly goals, and actively participating. By the end of the year, she applied for her first professional opportunity with confidence.

“This space gave me permission to start before I felt ready.”

New Member Two

She brought creativity and curiosity into the circle. Through shared sessions, she developed clearer career direction and began investing more intentionally in her personal growth.

“I stopped waiting for motivation. I learned to build habits instead.”

What We Learned

We learned that small circles can create deep change.

That consistency beats excitement.

That accountability feels lighter when wrapped in sisterhood.

That young women thrive when they are seen, supported, and challenged.

Most importantly, we learned that progress is not loud.

It is quiet.

It is weekly.

It is intentional.

And just like that, the impact moved beyond us. Each woman carried the lessons into her friendships, and those friendships carried them even further, creating a quiet cycle of growth.

To every young woman watching from the outside, wondering if growth spaces like this work, we want you to know this:

You do not need to have everything figured out.

You do not need to be confident all the time.

You do not need to wait until you are “ready.”

You only need to start walking in the direction of the woman you want to become.

Sisters in Progress is proof that when women choose purpose over pressure, growth over comparison, and progress over perfection, something powerful happens.

And this is only month one.
