Silent struggle/Suicide

Poem: Silent Struggle

Poem: Silent Struggle/ Suicide

As a child, you worked in the fields,

Yet never had the time to eat,

A life of labor, hunger, and quiet despair,

Your tears unnoticed, your voice unheard.

The portion of food was always small,

Yet no one cared to see your pain.

You did every chore, fulfilled every duty,

But respect and honor never came your way.

Violence lingered around your home,

Whispers and blame for not bearing a son,

Each word a wound, each glance a scar,

Yet the world turned blind to your suffering.

The sorrow grew too heavy to bear,

Alone in the night, you hanged yourself from a tree,

A silent cry that no one answered,

A life ended in despair and neglect.

This story is not yours alone—

It belongs to millions of women unheard.

Rights, dignity, and equality

Are not privileges—they are justice.

A society that silences pain

Allows life to wither away,

But a conscious, caring world

Can break the cycle, can make a change.

Stop the violence, teach respect,

Honor women in home and society,

For only when equality is real,

Can lives be saved and voices heard.
