Self Introduction

Hello WorldPulse Sisters,

My name is Hauwa Usman, and I’m excited to be part of this powerful global community of women. I joined World Pulse because I believe in the power of stories, connections, and shared purposes. I'm here to learn from others, share my voice, and connect with changemakers who are passionate about building stronger, healthier communities.

I live in Nigeria, a country full of culture, resilience, and youthful energy. One thing I love most about my community is the strong spirit of togetherness; we support one another even in the face of adversity.

I'm passionate about maternal health, girl-child education, and community advocacy. I believe that access to health, education, and empowerment should never be a privilege but a right. What motivates me is seeing how even one voice can spark change, and I hope to use mine to raise awareness on issues like family planning, health equity, and youth empowerment.

My name "Hauwa". In English, we say, "Eve". It has deep historical meaning in my heritage. It means a beautiful girl with a ruddy complexion, wife of Adam, and mother of mankind.

I'd love to know: What inspires you to keep going when it feels hard to be heard?

With love and light,

Hauwa Usman
