SANGALALA EDUCATION PROJECT

In 2022, Ana arrived in Malawi for the first time then he got to know the community of Masinja Ngombe, in a very rural area around an hour away from the capital.

She saw a bunch of children being taugh under the tree... but, during rainy season? She asked. No school for 4 months they told her.

And that is how the first building happened and two classes were given to the community.

But that was not enough, that was just the beginning

We met that same year and our souls deeply connected. We worked together with the community and finally in 2024, Sangalala organization was founded.

Sangalala means joy and happiness in chichewa, the language of Malawi

We are building schools in an area where access to a quality education was not available.

We are also doing an irrigation system project to provide proper nutrition to the students.

We run a small social enterprise to raise money. We partner with artisans and tailors in Malawi to make different things that we sell in Spain so we can bring the funds back to Malawi suporting like this also the local economy

But, despite all our efforts, we are a self-financing NGO at the moment due the laws for organizations in Spain so we need support to fund our schools.

Please give us a follow and support our work:
