Robina‘s story

Hello

My name is Robina Azizi, and I am an Afghan activist, educator, and advocate for girls’ education and women’s rights. Growing up in Afghanistan, I witnessed firsthand the challenges girls face in accessing education, particularly under the restrictions imposed by the Taliban. Despite these obstacles, I have dedicated my life to ensuring that young women have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and receive quality education.

I am the founder of initiatives that provide virtual learning opportunities and mentorship for girls, empowering them to continue their education in subjects such as English, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. My advocacy work has been recognized internationally: I am honored to have received the Diana Award (UK) for my commitment to social change and the Movers of Tomorrow Award (Germany) for my efforts to empower young women.

My work and story have been highlighted by prestigious organizations and media outlets, including Amnesty International, the Malala Fund, and several international magazines, bringing attention to the struggles and resilience of Afghan girls and women. Through these platforms, I have aimed to inspire global support for education, equality, and human rights.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Warm regards,
