Seeking
Encouragement
My journey continues. Recently, I came up with what I called QueenAir: Empty Legs. The goal is to make private aviation more accessible to women by providing a better alternative with the same benefits, same safety and same comfort but at a lower cost. An empty leg flight is a repositioning flight and it’s usually 25%-75%.. Upon stumbling onto this information, I had an idea💡long story short, I came up with QueenAir Empty Legs.
You know when you have this great idea so you immediately jump on it because you are filled with so much excitement? That was me🤣. So I started emailing private jet companies, thinking that they would see the vision. I mean why wouldn’t they? To my disappointment, none of them responded😩 Defeated, I felt like I wasted my time. I wanted to abandon the whole idea. I took the rejection so personal. But then I thought to myself.
How do I spin this around?
Since emailing didn’t work (I was ghosted🤣), I decided to join a charter company affiliate program. I would’ve loved to have partnered with a company but what can I say? It’s life. Luckily, they accepted🎉. So QueenAir: Empty Legs is official. When I started, I wanted to educate women about the private aviation world. Since majority of marketing strategies rarely target women, I want to change that narrative. But then I decided I wanted more. Not only do I want women to know about this world, that has been gate kept, but I want them to have access to it. That’s where QueenAir: Emoty Legs came from. For now, it’s still new but I’m excited to see where it goes. I’m happy that I didn’t abandon it because of rejection. It took me a while to recover from the set back but I just chose to dust myself off, and try a different approach. That’s how I turned my bitter situation around.
