Thank you World pulse for shout your vision call for stories. And I mutually benefitted with mindful review on personal changes, challenges overcame and lessons learned last year 2025.
My year 2025 was equally divided, blend of emotions. The first four months ( Jan to Apr) I was busy finding pre school for my daughter, my elder sons football tournament triumph, some social events & happy milestone celebrations. As I was preparing for summer, my family encountered some uncertain medical diagnosis. Those four months( May to Aug) went on hospital visits & waiting for medical test reports and engulfed with anxious moments. The last four months ( Sep to Dec) was hope and healing. So I called my year 2025 as holistic and understood how all emotions works together to make a year/human living complete.
The three major aspects I carry forward for the year 2026 & rest of my life are Gratitude, Identity and Endeavour.
1. Being Grateful for: Gratitude is the most powerful force makes every year an exceptional. Gratitude makes room for good things and people to come into our life. My journey into gratitude journaling started in the year 2023 as my healing therapy, slowly the episodes of writing on paper reduced but being grateful for the helps around (no matter how big or small) became habit. In breaking moments, when needs are diverse the practice of gratitude helped a lot and let go resentment.
PS: In this new year 2026, I started the small practice of gratitude through this Gratitude Jar ( Just write in a chit, the amazing thing happened to you & pop it in a jar. Do it every single week. To share the joy of love and gratitude).
2. Identity: Viewing ourself compared to others. Being mindfulness is the identity I created for myself over the years with awareness and practise. In tough time, I recalled my resilence in the past with similar situation. And it became easy to overcome challenges with identity.
PS: Treasure the kindness you showed yourself in the time of adversity.
3. Endeavour:
Continuous attempt to achieve something significant. No matter the results , sometimes the attempt itself helped me in progress in my hard times .
With these areas as my intention setting, my transition into the year 2026 with clarity, gratitude and effort.
With Love and Solidarity.
Ms. Sindhu.
