My Introduction to the World Pulse Community!

Hello World Pulse family,

My name is Elsie Louise Ambrias and i am from papua New GUinea. I have been married for 21 years and have 4 daughters.

I first learned about World Pulse through social media, and I was immediately drawn to its vision and mission. I realized that this is a platform where I can connect with women from all over the world who may share experiences similar to mine.

Writing poetry and composing songs have always been my way of expressing myself. Through World Pulse, I now have the opportunity to share my stories with other women and find strength in our shared voices.

One thing I deeply appreciate about my community is that we have laws and rules that support survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Women in my community also offer moral support and advice to GBV survivors. However, I often hesitate to share my own pain and story with them because I fear being judged or gossiped about. With World Pulse, I feel safe and free to speak openly about my struggles and what I have been going through.

My hope is to find encouragement, solidarity, and inspiration here. I believe that by sharing our stories, we can empower one another and create lasting change.
