MOTHERS DAY BRITISH COLUMBIA

Today may 10 is set aside to remember and remind people of the commitment and sacrifice woman make when they become mothers.

Before we come mothers its a great mystery

And after we become mothers its still.a great mystery.

I raised 3 sons alone after my husband and I divorced when they were 4 and 5 years old

The first years were the most difficult but then things smoothed out and my ex husband was more at peace and helpful. He took the boys for 6 weeks in the summer they went camping etc.

He took them on weekends when he could. He married a wonderful woman a few years later and was so much happier. We all got together on holidays. Things evolved and they have a long and happy marriage. I remained single for years had a small circle of friends worked and went back to university.

At times I struggled financially but managed

My sons are all in good marriages and have good jobs. So sometimes things work out even though there are challenges.

So Mothers day is a reminder of a significant time in our lives and the journey involved.
