The Māyāndà āTchūndù Cooperative(Mah-yah-n-dah ah-tjhoo-n-do) is a community-driven socio-economic model serving 5,000 residents of Katimba Ward, Zambia, where innovation is collectively invested in
- automate and optimize the production of essential goods,
- Every citizen is guaranteed a baseline high standard of living including housing,
- food, and healthcare, and a point-based system replaces traditional currency for discretionary exchange,
- while maintaining a balance between local autonomy and global trade through district-level production and export;
- Within this system, a resident-led cooperative builds skills, produces essential goods locally, and generates sustainable income through surplus exports to support long-term community prosperity.
