Mayanda Cooperative



The Māyāndà āTchūndù Cooperative(Mah-yah-n-dah ah-tjhoo-n-do) is a community-driven socio-economic model serving 5,000 residents of Katimba Ward, Zambia, where innovation is collectively invested in

  1. automate and optimize the production of essential goods,
  2. Every citizen is guaranteed a baseline high standard of living including housing,
  3. food, and healthcare, and a point-based system replaces traditional currency for discretionary exchange,
  4. while maintaining a balance between local autonomy and global trade through district-level production and export;
  5. Within this system, a resident-led cooperative builds skills, produces essential goods locally, and generates sustainable income through surplus exports to support long-term community prosperity.


We are transforming the lives of 5,000 residents in Katimba Ward, Zambia, by building a cooperative powered by the Māyāndà āTchūndù Cooperative(Mah-yah-n-dah ah-tjhoo-n-do)—ensuring universal access to life’s essentials, investing in innovation to automate production, and enabling community-driven prosperity through local autonomy and global trade.
