Kindness of moments

A new year has come,

and another year has gone.

I carry a scroll of wishes,

many gifts,

and numerous greetings.

How many pages I scatter,

overflowing with love,

longing, and many heartfelt emotions.

I knock on the doors of roses,

I enter the folds of petals,

and I draw with peacock feathers the sweetest kisses for children and seagulls,

and for the women with the brown headscarves, returning one evening from the weariness of the field,

dreaming of a few morsels

. For dreaming couples under the rain, their hands intertwined in a mixture of affection or apologies

, for all the lost ones searching for a way out of futility, sorrow, or tears,

for the people in bread lines, in war and displacement, awaiting some condemnation or denunciation.

Trust in God's generosity in times of hardship, and in His hidden kindness in the blink of an eye. And his attention

The obstacles change

And the river water becomes clearer in drops

And good evening prevails

And the light of longing fills the air.
