Justice for Krystabel “Bella” Anyango 🕊️🥀

Krystabel Anyango, known as Bella, was a 28-year-old Patients Coordinator at Jacaranda Maternity and a devoted young mother to a 1.4-year-old child. She is remembered by her family as a hardworking woman whose life was tragically cut short.

According to her mother, Julian Aketch, Bella had been in a volatile and abusive relationship with a man named Henry. The relationship was described as on-and-off, with repeated incidents of violence. Despite this, Bella would sometimes return to him.

In 2024, after one breakup, she went back to Henry. During this period, she reportedly became ill while staying at his home but was neglected and left without proper care. Her family later discovered she was pregnant following a hospital visit. Bella also confided that she was mistreated, confined in the house, and at times left without food.

When her condition worsened, her mother brought her back to Kakamega, where she gave birth. The family carried the medical and delivery costs alone, as Henry did not provide any support.

Although Henry’s family later reached out to apologize on his behalf, Bella continued to express fear, saying he was violent and often drunk. The family also alleges that Henry once shared a photo showing Bella injured and lying on the floor.

On 21st April, Bella requested fare from her mother, which was sent. On 30th April at night, Henry reportedly sent a message claiming Bella had collapsed and was at the hospital. The following morning, the family was informed of her death. However, they later found her body in a saloon car instead of inside a hospital.

A postmortem conducted on 4th May revealed blunt force trauma to the head and injuries consistent with assault. Her family believes she was murdered. Henry was reportedly briefly detained but later released and has since disappeared.

Bella leaves behind her young child. Her family is now calling for truth, accountability, and justice.
