Justice for All victims and respect women

Inisha Bik, Nirmala Pant and other girls and women in Nepal who have been victims of brutal rapes of this nature are characters affected by a distorted patriarchal society and distorted psychology.

Rape is not only a means of fulfilling sexual desires, but also a despicable mentality of exerting power, control and dominance over the victim.

In the context of Nepal, the main reason for the frequent repetition of these and similar incidents is the gender-discriminatory society. Other reasons are gradually emerging. In a home where women are respected by their husbands, sons automatically learn that they should also respect women, not only from the family but also from other women, such as women of other castes. The words and language used when speaking to women, not only from the family but also from other castes, have already formed the view of women from a young age, a child or a future teenager. In Nepal, it can be felt that daughters and girls are being targeted time and again, as a result of the weak foundation of culture given to sons.

Our society, while constantly emphasizing the importance of teaching moral lessons to daughters, saying that they should not be impulsive and should be cultured, fails to teach sons that kind of lesson. Often, when a daughter feels threatened or unsafe by her son, the symbolic phrase used is “Is there no mother, sister, or brother in your house?” Naturally, they try to tell her to think of me as your mother, sister, or brother, and stop the violence against me and respect me as your mother, sister, or brother.

Some people may be bad in character, similarly, both the addicted teenagers (male and female) have their own unique stories, but most of the teenagers or women who want to live a respectable life in society are extremely traumatized by such heinous crimes.

How to keep their daughters safe is becoming a matter of concern and concern for every father and mother, and this is a big challenge for the new government that will soon be formed. However, to end such recurring incidents, strict and ruthless laws should be made and an environment should be created where women can be proud. Also, the judicial investigation of such brutal incidents should be factual and the culprits should be punished severely and to the maximum extent so that all sons can learn the lesson of safety, respect and morality. May the victim be given justice and the perpetrators be punished!
