Sri Lanka is in a critical situation in these days. You may have heard about our island from news or elsewhere. Sri Lanka has been suffering from a big economic crisis since past few years. Now this crisis has been come to the worst.

The main reason for this crisis is the economic mismanagement.

Our people started protesting around the country. Yes, we are still protesting. We are seeking for the justice. Politicians have destroyed our future.

Now we have daily power cuts. I am a university student. We are learning virtually, because government universities have no sufficient requirements to keep us in university premises, because of this pandemic. We go to the university, only for exams. This method is carried out since Covid19 pandemic. We have signal issues during power cuts. It is a very hard time for students.

Prices of all goods are rising up day by day. People have to stay in queues for hours and hours in filling stations. People have to stay in queues for a gas cylinder. Experts say that we will have to face a food crisis in near future. This is a very brief. You can search what is happening here.

This is the situation, our politicians have dumped us. They always tried to make their pockets, not to make the country.

Now we are fighting. Now we are fighting against those worst politicians. People protesting everywhere. Because our dreams has been washed out. We are seeking for a justice.

Here, I saw the women power. I uploaded some pictures here. Mothers raising their voice to make their kids’ future bright. They are shouting along the streets. They are mourning in the streets. They are begging the justice for the babies in their wombs. I saw their power.

I saw the braveness of the young girls. No one can defeat their way. They are lionesses fighting for the country.

No religion, No class, No gender, No color. They all are Sri Lankans. I saw the unity. I feel the proudness.

Women raise up their voice about the nation. Sometimes men are being second to this power. Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim all are looking for the same future.

One good thing I saw from this crisis is the unity of our people, the power of the women. Women have started to talk about the nation. They are fighting for the country. They are getting out from their traditional frame. They talk freely. They shout. They fight.

Yes, I saw the women power.
