If today I am not lost,
if today I am safe,
if at the age of 22 I understand the difference between right and wrong, boundaries, and mahram and non-mahram,
then above all, I am grateful to Allah.
In a time where late-night chats, casual dating, and emotional distractions are often normalized, choosing self-control is not easy. Parents give us freedom, but with that freedom comes responsibility. They guide us, yet they also trust us and many people misuse that trust. I am thankful that I learned to protect it.
After Allah, I am deeply grateful to Nimra Ahmad.
At an age where many lose direction, a friend suggested I start reading novels instead. That suggestion changed my life. My first book was Jannat Kay Pattay. At first, I found it boring like many of us, I used to run away from reading. But as I continued, I learned the meaning of patience, faith, and how Allah helps us from places where we think everything has ended.
That book protected me from losing my way.
Then came Peer-e-Kamil, which taught me the value of patience, purpose, and halal love. And Aab-e-Hayat showed me that true companionship is written by Allah a bond where two people support each other through every hardship.
These books didn’t just change my thinking; they raised my standards and strengthened my character.
I sincerely encourage young men and women to read meaningful literature. Good books don’t just entertain you they guide you, protect you, and shape the person you become.
Just as reading changed my life, it can change yours too.
