Today, I woke up thinking about the impact World Pulse left in my life, and so I thought I should stop by and just think aloud!
Some platforms do more than amplify voices. They change lives. World Pulse has changed countless lives.
When I joined World Pulse in 2013, I was looking for voice, connection and courage. What I found was a global sisterhood that affirmed my voice and reminded me that women’s stories, especially from the Global South, matter.
World Pulse did not just give me visibility. It gave me meaningful connection. It gave me belonging. It exposed me to perspectives beyond my borders and showed me what was possible when women are intentional about lifting each other.
Life happened, as it often does. I stepped away quietly for a while, but often checking in to bask in the sisterliness of sisterhood herein. I would love to say the impact of that early support stayed with me. It shaped how I show up in advocacy, how I value storytelling, and how I build survivor centered spaces today.
Platforms like this are rare and precious. They must be protected, nurtured, and celebrated. I am grateful for what World Pulse offered me then, and for what it continues to offer women around the world. If you are willing to know, I have a lot of stories in my World Pulse Journal talking about my raw experience with World Pulse sisters, experiences that left me better, different and bigger.
I will forever be grateful.
