Who is Oviul Maruf ?

Oviul Maruf is a Bangladeshi photographer based in sylhet. He was born on 3rd December 2007 in Habiganj. He is a student of Jalalabad cantonment public school and college. Oviul spent his childhood in his hometown. He passed ssc (secondary school certificate) at 2024.

Oviul Maruf is gaining a lot of appreciation in recent days. His independent photography works are now featuring in popular and renowned platforms like smithsonian magazine, independent photographer etc. He won a lot of district and national contest . Also perticipated at lens culture award- 2025, world press photography, smithsonian magazine contest and more.

What inspired oviul maruf for photography

Oviul Maruf was inspired after seeing some long exposure photography and thats why he loved that magic . He also love nature and landscapes. Oviul also added " When i was a student of class 10 , many of my friends and peoples appreciate my photographs and suggestes to do more photography .

Oviul Maruf got recognized by smithsonian institute and some photography organizations. He achieved some photography contest achievements like,

What about his upcoming album Nocturn ?

Oviul announced a photography album titled 'Nocturn' which will feature some long exposure photography and night photography. He has not taken any photo of this album right now but he will start working on it after he complets his hsc exam.

What is the future goals of oviul maruf?

Oviul wants to take a higher education in photography field from one of the best universities in this world and want to work with popular media. He said " my dream in photography is so though but can be possible if I try harder. I dream about to take a higher education in top ranked university in photography or film making. And i have a dream to work with new york times . Thats it . But alhamdulillah for what i have achieved."

Now!! Oviul Maruf is one of the raising photographer from Bangladesh. A lot of telents, composition beauty these will take him higher in future days.
