“From Impact to Intention” Lessons from 2025 and My Vision for the Future of Humanitarian Leadership.
Written by- Jackie Iwu, Founder of AgwammaWomen Outreach Africa

2025 was a year that reminded me why purpose must always be bigger than comfort.
It was a year of showing up—sometimes quietly, sometimes boldly—but always intentionally. Through my work in humanitarian advocacy and communications, I witnessed firsthand how small actions, when done consistently, can restore dignity, amplify unheard voices, and create lasting impact.
One of the most humbling moments of 2025 was receiving recognition from different women & Youth-led humanitarian platforms for my Malawi Period Poverty Initiative and expanding it into a Social Enterprise as well as, my selfless trip to South East Asia to serve humanity.
Being acknowledged as a featured change maker badge holder, power encourager, and digital ambassador by World Pulse was not just an award—it was a reaffirmation that grassroots work, when driven by compassion and accountability, truly matters.
I am also truly grateful to World Pulse for the honor.🙏
My MHE initiative reminded me that leadership is not about visibility alone, but about responsibility, service—to communities, to girls whose stories are rarely told, and to solutions that must outlive applause.
✅2025 also taught me resilience💡
Advocacy work is not linear. There were moments of limited resources, emotional fatigue, and difficult realities on the ground. Yet, those moments strengthened my resolve to keep going—to refine my voice, sharpen my strategy, and remain grounded in service rather than giving up on my dreams.
💡My Vision for What’s Next💡
As I step into the new year; it is clear and intentional.
I Envision:
✔️Deeper impact, not just wider reach—focusing on sustainable, community-led humanitarian interventions.
✔️Stronger collaboration among women-led initiatives across borders, particularly in Africa, where shared challenges require shared solutions.
✔️Amplifying digital advocacy as a powerful tool for social change, policy influence, and accountability.
✔️Mentorship and capacity building, especially for young women and girls who desire to lead but lack access, confidence, or platforms.
✔️Above all, I am committed to leading with integrity, empathy, and courage—using my voice, skills, and experiences to bridge gaps between awareness and action.
The new year is not just another chapter; it is an opportunity to do better, go deeper, and remain faithful to the mission of creating equitable and dignified lives for all.
I step into what’s next with gratitude for how far we’ve come—and with bold hope for what we can still build together📌📌
