#2025 VBS
On Saturday 22/11/2025, we held our Vocational Bible School (VBS)at our church, a special day when we gather children from our community to pour into their young hearts the word of God. It’s a day filled with joy, learning, laughter, and the purest expressions of worship, singing, dancing, colouring, playing, and sharing a meal as one big family in Christ. Our target was simple and realistic: we expected around 50 to 70 children.
When I arrived at the venue that morning, my heart sank a little. The venue was quiet, with only a handful of children scattered around. For a moment, doubt tried to whisper that maybe this day wouldn’t turn out as we had planned. But then something within me stirred a reminder that faith is not about what we see, but what we believe.
Instead of worrying, I took a deep breath and stepped out again with purpose. I walked around the neighbourhood, calling out to the children, greeting parents, reminding them of the VBS, and encouraging them to come. I told myself, even if only a few show up, we will still give them our best.
But God had a bigger plan.
When I returned to the venue, my breath was taken away. The once-quiet space was now overflowing with life more than a hundred children had gathered, their faces bright with excitement and expectation. Laughter filled the air, tiny feet danced around, and the place felt transformed. We had prepared for 50–70, but God sent over 100.
With joy in our hearts, we began our sessions. The children sang their hearts out, danced with freedom, coloured with creativity, and listened eagerly to the word of God. Their energy revived every volunteer, reminding us why we do what we do.
And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, God surprised us yet again. A well-wisher stepped forward and donated 100 Gideon Bibles for the children. It was a moment none of us expected—pure evidence of God’s provision and faithfulness. Watching the children receive their Bibles with wide smiles and grateful hearts was the highlight of the entire day.
By the end of VBS, we were tired physically but overflowing spiritually. What started as a morning of uncertainty turned into a day of miracles, multiplication, and divine favour.
Looking back, I am reminded that when we show up with faith even in small ways God shows up in big ways. He takes our efforts, our fears, our expectations, and breathes life into them. Saturday was not just a program; it was a testimony of God’s goodness and a reminder that every seed planted in a child’s heart will grow into something powerful.
We look forward to do more and impact the community.
To God be all the glory.
