Financial Grant for welfare of Girls and Women in India

I couldn’t recollect the exact time period. Most Probably during the year ( 2018- 19- 20 ) I was offered a

proposal of Financial support through World Pulse with Grant of Rs. One Crore. for welfare of Women and

children in India .

.During Covid Period I was unable to set up a NGO to accept the proposal and to take action.

Now I am capable to set up an NGO to go for any of the following projects as following

  1. a. To build Wash Rooms for Girl Students in Rural Areas

b. To arrange Safe Drinking Water in schools at remote villages

2. To provide Computers at schools in remote villages

3 a. To form Self Help Group in Suburbs and Rural Areas

b .Awaeness programme for Women how to raise up a girl child without doing any discrimination

between son and daughter in Suburbs and Rural areas . The basic problem among parents in rural

areas incomes from the idea that Daughter ‘ is a burden and ‘ Son ‘ is an asset must be removed.

Both Daughter and Son are the prime responsibilities of parents to carry on with equal love and care..

If you agree I can send a Project Proposal

Though India has many talents , but I am sorry to say, the rural areas are most neglected,. Being a

woman and Professional Writer , I am emotionally involved specially because of domestic violence

and sufferings of women and girls. Yet I can only raise my voice but can’t find the remedies.

Actually male chauvinism is a world wide problem, ultimately leading to so many social problems

regarding facilities in education and proper .living . Trafficking of women and girl children is another big

problem affecting the society.

Only solution to give proper eduction to every girl child, so that they can struggle on their own to live

with self confidence. Each girl child needs proper environment in school and to get full facility

of modern higher education to become self sufficient.

I have not the power to remove human trafficking which is a world wide problem..

I cannot show a perfect remedy of domestic violence through which seventy percent girl children have to

go.. If I try to search for the root cause sinking in the deep , simple out come will reveal the ruthless truth.

By whom the women are tortured. ? Answer is very simple. Wicked men are torturing( I AM NOT AT ALL

BLAMING CIVILISED MEN ).

From the very beginning , every male child should be taught and trained in such a way, so that he learns

to respect and protect girl. It’s the primary duty of a mother to give that training to every male child..

Also, parents must not put any discrimination between son and daughter.

As a girl is physically weak, she should be protected. It is the duty of each mother to teach her son always

to respect and protect a woman, rather than to seek pleasure on domination.

I have not the power to change the outlook of the society run by political administration. Also, Girl children

in the city are more or less getting proper education to get themselves properly trained with daily

hazards to confront.

Girl living in cities are getting more exposure, so they get accustomed to confront each nuisance coming

up occasionally. But conditions of village area are horrible.

I am only trying to provide facility of modern higher education to girls at rural areas. Now a days

computer training is essential for every student.

Many girls cannot go school because many schools run without separate washrooms for girls

It's shameful,

I will make a survey how many schools in rural areas of West Bengal have not exclusively separate

washrooms for girls. Also I will survey, how many schools have not proper arrangements of safe drinking

water facilities. In suburbs and rural areas. These are the primary basic needs. that to be taken under

consideration. I think, this is most important.

Next comes the question of proper education of Computer training to cope up with modern living.

So computer Training is a must.

Last but not the least will come up two important issues. :

a. To set up few Self Help Groups (SHG) taking some women in each group where Fund will be created by

them to improve their living conditions and challenges through collective action and mutual support.

Individual groups may contain 10-15-20 women as permissible.

Members should agree on regular meetings subject to mutual discussion and mutual trust.

While working as a member of Rotary Club ( 2002 - 2016 )

We had formed few Self Help Groups to run. At that time I have noticed, working women in villages are

really interested to run that pronect.

So far I can recollect that took place during the yer 2012-14.

After 12 years scenerio must haven changed . Now we can take survey, how. many Self Help Groups are

functioning in rural areas,. Also , what benefits they are Gerri fr om SHG..

Last comes the Awereness Programme of Women Empowerment in domestic level, in society, in

Educational field, in Cultural aspects, in Sports arena , in political issues or in Business World..

My trivial effort only to assist girl students providing proper ( wherever needed )washrooms

exclusively for girls, so that they won’t hesitate to attend school on regular basis.. A neat and clean

arrangement Is mandatory for girl students.

Next to try to arrange safe drinking water in schools of villages wherever neede.

Next to provide computers in Scools of villages, wherever needed.

Then to form SHG in villages , wherever needed.

Last to make awareness programme for mothers how to bring up a daughter with much care , so that

she can make herself strong confident courageous to meet challenges of life at every step..

She must no build only brilliant career but must inspire her successors.
