Many Nigerian corp members, especially young women, desire to learn digital skills but lack access to laptops a basic requirement in today’s digital world. Without access, opportunities for learning, remote work, and financial independence remain out of reach.
This initiative was created to bridge that gap through dignity-based support. Instead of charity, I introduced a structured savings model where corp members save small portions of their monthly allowance toward owning a laptop, while receiving it earlier than they normally could.
Through this initiative, I help corp members source affordable laptops and introduce them to free learning platforms and digital skill pathways. This allows them to begin learning immediately while paying in manageable chunks, reducing financial pressure and restoring confidence.
So far, this initiative is already in motion. The challenge remains scale and sustainability, but with visibility and collaboration, more young women can gain access to tools that open doors to learning and income. My NGO cover for all the logistics and extra expenses to get these laptops to these young girls serving in various part of Nigeria.
This initiative is my way of saying “You don’t have to wait till everything is perfect. Let’s start with what you have."
You are welcome to join me on this journey. You can even pledge to gift laptops to these young girls too.
