Apna Bar: Nourishment for Those in Need

We-Mana Nutrition Pvt Ltd is a social enterprise founded in 2017 by Uma Maheswari.

After working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds for 12 years, Uma realized the strong connection between health, nutrition and education. She decided to create a wholesome and healthy bar that was both affordable and tasty for all sections of society - especially the underprivileged.

Drive by this passion, she set up her company We-Mana Nutrition Pvt Ltd to manufacture and sell healthy bars made from Millets, Dates & Jaggery and peanuts with no artificial preservatives, additives, binders or fillers.

Profits from commercial sales of Millit Hunger bars are utilized to provide and distribute Apna bars (with increased iron content) to NGO's and individuals working with underpriveleged women and children in India and across the world (wherever nutrition is a problem).

Additionally, as a social enterprise, We-Mana decided to adopt the bold business model of Buy 1 Share 1 , that is to make every customer a change agent - buy one bar and get another free bar to share with those who need nutrition. This way, We-Mana strives to provide nutrition for all.
