With crying you are successful
When "You Are Successful" Becomes the Lifeline
By: Viviane Mohamed
Five years ago, my life seemed perfectly stable. I was working at a reputable Institute of Tourism and Hotels, surrounded by students I loved and colleagues I respected. I had an excellent salary and a career I adored. But with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a different kind of storm hit—the storm of "harsh words." In a defining moment, I chose my dignity over my paycheck and resigned. Despite years of dedication, my resignation was accepted with a cold indifference that stung my soul.
In that moment of uncertainty, I wasn't fighting alone. My dear friend was going through a painful divorce, facing life with her children in a barren apartment with nothing but a used stove and fridge. Even though I was jobless, I refused to let her fall. I supported her financially and emotionally with everything I had. From the heart of this shared struggle, and from the feelings of oppression and injustice that any woman feels when she lacks resources and appreciation, a vision was born: "You Are Successful" (Anti Nagaha).
It wasn't just a YouTube channel; it was a rebellion against reality. I started with motivational content, then moved to filming local markets to help women manage their households on a budget. This evolved into a mission to support "Female Creators." I traveled across Egypt, seeking out women building miracles through small businesses, providing them with free marketing. At the end of every video, I would whisper the words I once needed to hear myself: "Keep going... You Are Successful."
My ambition didn't stop at the screen. Today, I am a journalist for the Egyptian newspaper "Kalimat Al-Arab," using my pen to write articles that empower women and amplify their voices, alongside organizing tourism conferences to elevate Egypt’s global presence.
God’s reward was breathtaking. In 2024, I was crowned a "YouTube Hero," selected among the top 20 channels in Egypt in a prestigious ceremony. That award wasn't just for me; it was a tribute to every feeling of pain that had been transformed into hope. This was followed by honors from the "Wa’ei" conference for child protection and the "Egyptian Female Chefs Festival," where I stood in solidarity with women working tirelessly in grand kitchens, supporting them with all my heart.
My Message to Every Fearless Woman:
"You Are Successful" is not just the name of my channel; it is a philosophy of life. True success is born when you decide to be a pillar of support for someone else while you are in need of support yourself. I transformed from an employee whose heart was bruised by harsh words into a journalist, a content creator, and a "YouTube Hero" carrying a message for a nation.
Never let the lack of resources or the cruelty of circumstances convince you that it’s the end. If they take away your platform, build your own pulpit. If they are stingy with kind words, make the whole world chant after you: "I am successful... I am fearless... and I am unstoppable."
