The Abiemnom Hope and Recovery Initiative was established under the Patriots for Progress Foundation in response to the devastating events of the 1st March massacre in Abiemnom, which left many families broken, displaced, and struggling to survive.
At the heart of this initiative are widows and children, women who lost their husbands and are now left to carry the full burden of life alone, and children who have lost protection, stability, and support.
This initiative is built from real experiences and urgent need.
Our mission is to restore dignity, provide immediate relief, and support long-term recovery for affected families.
We are currently focused on:
• Providing dignity kits, clothing, and essential household items
• Supporting widows and children with basic needs
• Offering emotional and community-based support
• Mobilizing resources from well-wishers and partners
• Advocating for attention and support for the affected families
So far, we have received support from generous individuals and groups, including women from Uganda and Kenya, who have stood in solidarity with Abiemnom families. However, the needs remain overwhelming, and much more support is required.
This initiative is not just about aid, it is about restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and ensuring that no widow or child is left behind in silence.
We are calling on the global community, humanitarian organizations, and all well-wishers to stand with Abiemnom families during this difficult time.
Together, we can bring hope where there is pain, and strength where there is loss.
