A Smile for Every Displaced Mother – Lebanon

The Story Behind This Initiative

In Lebanon today, many mothers are not celebrating Mother’s Day.

They are displaced.

They are carrying their children, their fears, and the weight of uncertainty.

Some left their homes with nothing. Others left parts of their hearts behind.

I have seen them.

Mothers who try to smile while hiding their tears.

Mothers who whisper strength to their children while silently breaking.

Mothers who deserve the world… but are asking for so little.

Mother’s Day is not about luxury.

It is about dignity.

It is about feeling seen.

It is about one moment of warmth in the middle of chaos.

And this year, we can give them that moment.

What We Want to Do

This initiative aims to bring small, meaningful gifts to displaced mothers across Lebanon—gifts that can restore a sense of care, dignity, and joy.

We want to prepare Mother’s Day packages that may include:

• Simple beauty or self-care items

• A scarf, perfume, or personal gift

• A handwritten note of love and appreciation

• Essential items chosen with dignity in mind

Each package is not just a gift.

It is a message:

“You are not forgotten.”

Our Goal

To reach as many displaced mothers as possible and give them one moment of happiness—a smile that says:

“I am still worthy of being celebrated.”
