A Love That Never Left

A Love That Never Left

Allah had blessed him with a perfectly healthy wife. Who was he to ever call her worthless?

Saqleen, a resident of Nankana, married Shahzadi in an arranged marriage chosen by their families. Like many such marriages, it began quietly, but with time their relationship grew into a beautiful bond filled with love, respect, and companionship.

However, just six months after their wedding, tragedy struck.

Shahzadi developed a severe blood blockage in both of her legs. Saqleen rushed her to different hospitals in Lahore and Islamabad, hoping that doctors would find a way to save her. They tried everything they could. But fate had something else written.

Doctors finally gave the heartbreaking news:

To save her life, both of her legs would have to be amputated.

For any couple, this moment could have shattered their world. But Saqleen chose love.

When Shahzadi underwent surgery and lost both of her legs, Saqleen took leave from his government job and stayed in the hospital with her for an entire year, never leaving her side.

But the trials did not end there.

During those difficult days, Shahzadi was also diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB). After returning home, she often told Saqleen that he should marry again so that he could have an easier life.

Each time, Saqleen gave the same answer.

“Allah gave me such a beautiful wife. If this hardship came into her life after she married me, then it is our test. I will never consider her a burden or worthless.”

Even today, Saqleen continues to serve his wife with love and dignity while working his government job. He takes her to the bathroom, carries her in his arms when she needs to go outside, irons her clothes, and sometimes even cooks meals for her.

His actions prove that love is not just about happiness — it is about standing beside someone when life becomes hardest.

May Allah ease Shahzadi’s hardships and keep Saqleen’s heart filled with the same love, patience, and strength.

Because trials come into every life,

but only those with true hearts and pure intentions pass

them with honor.
