A CALL

Some days, as the Founder and Director of Heha Kenya, I sit in silence and ask myself… where did I go wrong?

It breaks me to see young girls sitting at home—not because they don’t want to learn, not because they lack dreams but because they cannot afford school fees, basic stationeries, or even sanitary towels. It is devastating. It is painful beyond words.

I have given everything I can. I have dug deep into my own pocket, even when I also have a life to sustain as a single mother with bills, responsibilities, and children who depend on me. I have gone the extra mile modeling, doing marketing just to raise something small to keep our project, The Ladder of Hope, alive.

But still… it feels like it is not enough.

We have called out for partners. We have asked for volunteers. We have knocked on doors for funding. And yet, silence. No positive feedback. No lifeline.

We have even tried to raise funds to purchase land so we can have a safe space of our own. A place where we can shelter the girls, grow food through farming as an income generating activity, and build something sustainable for their future. But even this has been in vain.

Now some of the girls are back at home. Waiting. Hoping. Losing hope.

This is not just a project to me. This is my life’s calling a passion that started when I was just 12 years old. And today, I feel like I am watching it slip through my hands.

I am tired. I am frustrated. And for the first time ,I feel like giving up.

But before I do, I am reaching out one more time.

If you are out there, anywhere in the world:

- If you can sponsor even one child’s school fees

- If you can donate sanitary towels or school supplies

- If you are a proposal writer, we need your help

- If you have networks, please connect us

- If you run a podcast or platform, give us a voice

- If you are a well-wisher, stand with us

Right now, it is raining. Floods are sweeping through homes. Disease is spreading. The need is greater than ever. And we are struggling we cannot even afford office space or staff.

To my sisters on World Pulse and every kind soul reading this please hold my hand. Help us keep this dream alive.

We may be small, but together, we can change lives.

Please reach out. Please connect. Please don’t let this end here.
